About 70% of the human body is made up of water. Nowhere is this more important than your brain. Brain scientists now know that impulses(messages) in your brain are carried across the millions of synapses as chemical particals called neurotransmitters rather than an electrical “spark” as was once thought.

If you are dehydrated (you can become 10% dehydrated in just 15 minutes on a 90+ degree day of summer) up to 50% of these message carriers do not successfully cross your synapses. That means you are not firing on but about half of the info you should have!

That’s not safe and your decisions are not as smart as they should be. So stay fully hydrated all day every day by always having water within arms reach and by drinking more water than you think you need.

Your brain will thank you for it with safer movements and better decisions!
